I opened my own studio and gallery in 1997 on Main St. in Manhattan, Mt. During the summer months, I enjoyed tourists dropping in from all over the world. 1999 was a very busy year, and quite satisfying. I spent 2 weeks painting throughout the Midwestern states in preparation for “The Spirit of the Great Plains Show” at the Museum of Nebraska Art where I was invited to show in April 2000. I had been invited back for their 2002 show. I have since been included in their permanent collection. 2000 found me painting our National treasures. In Teton National Park, I studied with renowned plein air painter Scott Christensen, and in Glacier National Park with Joe Abbrescia at Lake MacDonald. I had the great honor in 2001 of having 4 of my pieces purchased to hang in the permanent collection of Chadron State College in Nebraska. In 2005, 9 pieces were purchased by St. Peters Hospital in Helena, MT for their permanent collection.
